Pricing & fees

These defaults flow into every rental contract and the pickup wizard. Per-rental overrides always win — these are the fall-throughs.

Where: Settings → Operations → Rental pricing & fees

What to fill in

Admin & collection fees

  • Citation admin fee — applied when a toll / parking / traffic citation is processed against the renter
  • Damage admin fee — processing on top of damage claims
  • Repossession fee — recovery from delinquent renter
  • Late return fee (per day) — calendar days past the authorized return time. Used by the iOS Return wizard’s auto-charges preview.

Fuel

  • Refill rate per gallon — used when renter returns vehicle below pickup fuel level
  • Fuel service fee — flat charge on top of the per-gallon refill

Optional insurance (daily rates)

  • LDW — Loss Damage Waiver
  • SLP — Supplemental Liability Protection
  • PAI — Personal Accident Insurance
  • PEC — Personal Effects Coverage

Leave any blank that your shop doesn’t offer. The contract renders an em-dash for unoffered products.

Deposit

  • Default deposit amount — pre-seeded into the iOS pickup wizard’s Hold Deposit step. Staff can override per rental.

Arbitration & governing law

  • Arbitration venue city + state
  • Governing state

Leave blank to fall back to your tenant business address.

What changes after you save

  • The contract resolver immediately uses the new values on the next contract generation
  • The iOS pickup wizard pre-seeds the deposit amount from defaultDepositAmountCents
  • The iOS return wizard surfaces the late fee in the auto-charges preview when the rental is overdue

Common questions

Can I have different late fees per vehicle? No — fees are tenant-wide. If you want per-vehicle pricing differences (luxury vs economy), use the per-rental override on a specific rental.

The em-dash is showing on my contract. Means the field is null. Set it in this Settings page; the next contract will populate.
